Chadwell Animal Hospital was established by a husband-and-wife team of veterinarians over 15 years ago. Since then, its staff has treated every kind of animal imaginable, including exotic pets and wild animals.
What Is the Hospital Like?
The hospital boasts eight exam rooms, a surgical prep room, and two surgery rooms. There are separate wards for exotic pets, dogs, and cats. The hospital also has an ICU, an isolation room, a pharmacy, a laboratory, and a special procedures room for ultrasound, X-rays, and endoscopies.
Domestic animal care in Joppa, MD makes up the bulk of the animal care provided. It includes preventive care like vaccines and wellness exams, plus dentistry, spaying and neutering, and microchipping.
What Is HASP?
HASP stands for Harford Animal Sterilization Program, and it is an initiative to encourage people to spay or neuter their dog or cat. When someone adopts a kitten or puppy that has not yet been fixed from the Humane Society of Harford County, they will have to pay a deposit of $50.00. They will also be given a certificate and a list of veterinarians – and 60 days to get their new pet fixed. The vet will give them a receipt proving the pet has had the surgery, and the owner can then get their deposit back.
How Does Laser Therapy Help a Pet?
Laser therapy can relieve pain and help heal various injuries. The light and heat from the laser stimulate cellular activity, so injuries heal more quickly. It also encourages the production of endorphins, which are hormones that ease pain. Laser therapy can thus be used to treat conditions including hip dysplasia, arthritis, burns, and surgical wounds.
